Quote of the day: "You cannot repent too soon, because you do not know how soon it may be too late."
Can You Drink From The Cup Of Christ?
by ( timothy ) 28 Jan 18, 03:39 pm

Text: Matt 20:22. "But Jesus answered and said, ye know not what ye ask. Are ye able to drink of the cup that I shall drink of, and be baptised with the baptism that I am baptised with? They say unto him, we are able.

In the passage above Christ was replying the mother of Zebedee’s children who wanted her children to sit on both side of Christ in heaven.  Christ’s response was “are you able to drink of the cup that I shall drink of?"

Many of us today have dreams and aspirations we want to achieve, but the question remains are you willing to pay the price? There is a price for every good thing in life, and the price of success is expensive. Sleepless nights, setbacks, inconveniences, financial prudence, etc. are part of prices we must pay for success. This is why only a few become successful because very few are ready and actually pay its price.

Spiritually Christ has not promised us a smooth sailing, there must be trials, temptations, sicknesses, hard times, “down-moments”, persecutions but one thing is certain he promised us “Expected End”. Let us therefore set aside every weight and the sin which doth easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us. Looking unto Jesus the author and the finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame and is set down at the right hand of God.
