Cartagena International Music Festival
Taking place from January 4-13, 2019, this music festival happens in Colombia every year. 2019 will be no different. Not only do you enjoy a 10 day long festival of classical and traditional music. Cartagena is famous for its cultural tourism and was an inspiration for many poets and writers in the past. CTM Festival, Berlin
With 2019’s theme around Persistence, CTM Festival will take place from the January 25-February 3, 2019. This also marks the 20th edition for this series of concerts that take place every year. Which means that there is going to be a lineup of some very special artists. Some of the prominent names that are going to be a part of the festival include The Mantis and Raster. Labor.
VHI Supersonic, Goa, India
What started as an EDM-driven dance music festival is now one of the most celebrated multi-genre music festivals in India. You can be a part of all this mad festivity from the 16th to 17th Feb 2019. You would not really miss this one. Because apart from the multi-genre music scene, you get to enjoy the cuisines from across the world. So, it is a treat for both your ears and taste buds. The lineup for the upcoming Supersonic concert is pretty lit as well. It includes Lost Stories and ash Roy.
Port Fairy Folk Festival, Australia
If you are an acoustic fan and live in Australia (well, that’s not necessary as long as you afford to travel for a festival), mark your calendars for 8th to 11th March 2019. This time there will be Australian performances by Melanie as well.
A two-weekend music festival, Coachella is one of the most celebrated music festivals across the globe. The lineup for this festival is always huge. And the upcoming event that will take place on April 12-14 and April 19-21, 2019 will feature Justin Timberlake as one of the headliners. However, the full lineup for the show won’t be announced before January 2019.
Brighton Festival, Brighton
Taking place from May 4- May 26, 2019, the Brighton Festival is a mixed-arts music festival. It is also the biggest arts festival that takes place in the UK. Not only is it a music festival but it also includes debates, musical and theatrical performances.
The Masked Ball, Cornwall
The Spring episode of this festival will take place from May 3-5, 2019. The Masked Ball is not an ordinary music festival. It is a party lover’s paradise. It is a multi-level party kingdom where you get to witness world-class acts.
Red Rooster, Suffolk
Taking place from 30th May- 1st June 2019, Red Rooster happens every year in the Suffolk County. This festival is majorly about the country music. So, if that is your cup of tea, save the dates.
Wireless Festival, London
Happening from the 5th– 7th July 2019, Wireless Festival is the UK’s biggest and the most famous urban music festival. It is a three-day festival that is held in London’s Finsbury Park each year. You get to witness mixed acts ranging from hip-hop to the garage as a part of this festival. 2019’s lineup includes J.Cole, Post Malone and Mabel, to name a few.
Happening from August 1-5, 2019, Lollapalooza will return to Chicago’s Grant Park next year. The lineup is not yet announced. However, the 2018 lineup can give you an idea that the event features some of the best artists. The 2018 lineup included Bruno Mars, The Weekend, Arctic Monkeys, and Jack White.
This festival takes place in Munich every year. In 2019, the festival will take place from 21st September to 6th October. Apart from all the great music, you get to drink loads of whiskey and wine at this festival. Each year between 6 to 7 million people makes it to Oktoberfest. So, you can very well imagine all the fun that you can indulge in.
The Social Festival, Kent
Although, the date’s not out yet, in 2018 this festival took place in September. The famous DJ Nic Fanciulli hosts this festival. And is famous for music genres like electronic, house and techno. In case you are wondering, the most recent lineups featured Nina Kraviz and Carl Cox, to name a few.
The Melbourne Festival, Melbourne
Melbourne Festival encompasses dance, theatre, and circus. Taking place in October every year, it is one of Australia’s most celebrated arts and music festival. Each festival brings with itself a feast of dance, visual arts, and music.
Iceland Airwaves, Iceland
The date is not yet out, but this festival takes place in November. It is a music festival where you get to enjoy the genres including alternative, electronic and hip-hop. It is basically an electric festival and is a 20 years old festival.
Rhythm and Vines, New Zealand
This is New Zealand’s most celebrated music and camping festival. This three-day festival happens at the end of December every year. And the attendees get a chance to celebrate the New Year’s Eve as part of this wild festival.
